Condylar
Plate, 95°, U Profile |
|
The condylar plate was
primarily designed for the distal femur in adults. The
95° angle was chosen to maintain the physiological angle
between femoral shaft and the knee joint, when the plate
is inserted parallel to the knee joint. The condylar
plate has found increasing use also in proximal femur
factures. |
|
Condylar plats are available
with 50, 60, 70, and 80mm blade lengths. The shaft has
5, 7, 9 or 12 holes nearest the blade accept the 6.5mm
cancellous bone screws. |
The
rest are DCP holes for 4.5mm cortex screws. |
|
Condylar Plate, 95°, T Profile |
The
condylar plate is to be used in small adults for
fractures to the distal and proximal femur as
for intertrochanteric osteotomies, where the U
profile would be too wide and might cause
breakage of the neck. |
Blade lengths are available 40, 50 60 and 70mm,
plate lengths are 5, 7 and 9 holes |
